Bike lovers have something to look forward to this festive season as it is widely expected that TVS will launch a new scooter in its line of TVS Jupiter variants
Hot on the heels of launching the new Radeon 110cc motorcycle, TVS is not planning on stopping soon. According to multiple sources, it is expected that the Chennai-based brand is planning to reveal a premium scooter following the successful launch of various models in previous months.
The new product is forecasted to give TVS a stronger footing in the immensely growing scooter market in India, amidst the continued positive market reception to the Ntorq 125.
Following The TVS Ntorq Footsteps
Currently, three of India’s biggest motorcycle brands, TVS, Hero MotoCorp, and Bajaj are having a heated competition in the 110-125cc entry level bikes. TVS are gearing up to claim their share in the 125cc market, and their intentions were well known when they launched their brand new TVS Radeon.
TVS Radeon was the first 125cc bike with synchronized braking technology complemented with a sturdy metal build body design, robust style and a lavish comfort for an entry-level commuter motorcycle.
After setting the trend, TVS is now set to reveal a top-of-the-range scooter which is anticipated to be the Jupiter 125. With the upcoming festive season furor, TVS are looking to capitalize on the holidays when the general public is in a buying mood.
What to Expect in the new Jupiter 125
The new Jupiter model will be much improved than its predecessors as it targets luxury bikers. Many believe that the 125 model will have a new design digital console with added connectivity for comfort and convenience during a commute.
The new model will have an excellent exterior look with chrome accents, a sporty dual-tone paint scheme, more comfortable seats and exclusive SmartXonnect Bluetooth-enabled consoles on the digital dash, LED headlight unit, and tail lights.
Even though the TVS Jupiter scooter will come with an upgraded 124.79cc engine capacity, it is expected to feature the same 10.5 Nm torque with 9.4 PS maximum power as the Ntorq model.
Just like the Ntorq which dominated the top selling monthly chats in the scooter category within three months of its launch, it is widely expected that the new TVS Jupiter 125 will replicate the market reception and even outdo the sale. More importantly, TVS Jupiter 125 is tipped to sell at an attractive price range.
The potential rivals for the TVS Jupiter 125 may be the Suzuki Burgman Road 125, Piaggio Vespa 125 and Aprilia SR125 all which fall in the Rs. 70,000 category.
Who is it for?
If you are looking to buy your first motorbike for the daily commute, then the TVS Jupiter will be a great entry-level bike at an affordable price range. On the other hand, those looking for an upgrade should keep an eye out for the Jupiter 125 launch. Rather than upgrading to a revamped Jupiter standard model with a 109.7 cc single-chamber air-cooled power bike, a more powerful TVS Jupiter 125 may be worth a look.
